Registered Dental Hygienist
Addi is a native Texan who spent 10 years of her childhood living abroad in Honduras where she became fluent in Spanish. Every country, and certainly a 3rd world country, has the need for improved health care. It was the time Addi spent in Honduras that convinced her to enter the dental field to help improve patient health care. As a clinician, Addi's primary goals are to help each patient achieve and maintain excellent oral health in a safe, educational, and pain-free environment. Addi obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Dental Hygiene from Texas A&M College of Dentistry's Caruth School of Dental Hygiene. Addi was the class president for the duration of her education. As a senior dental hygiene student, Addi received the university's exclusive Research Scholar Honorable Mention award, in addition to the 2nd place award from the Dallas Dental Hygiene Association for her table clinic research. Addi has her license as a Registered Dental Hygienist in the State of Texas and is currently certified by the American Heart Association in CPR basic life support with automated external defibrillator. Addi is also certified by the State of Texas to monitor the administration of nitrous oxide conscious sedation. Addi enjoys increasing her professional knowledge through continuing education seminars. In her spare time, Addi enjoys soaking in the outdoors with her husband and her sons.
Registered Dental Hygienist
Chandler was born and raised in Poetry, Texas, near Terrell, and currently resides in Rowlett. Chandler knew from the time she was in high school that she wanted a career in dentistry. Chandler's passion is getting to know her patients on a more personal level while educating her patients regarding their oral health needs. Chandler attended Careers in Dental Assisting school and became a Registered Dental Assistant performing four-handed instrument transfer, taking X-rays, and learning the use of materials and instruments used in endodontics, restorative, crown and bridge, and surgery. After almost two years as a dental assistant, Chandler decided to pursue her degree in dental hygiene. Chandler obtained her Associate Degree in Dental Hygiene from Concorde Career College where she was the Salutatorian of her class. Chandler has her license as a Registered Dental Hygienist in the State of Texas and is currently certified by the American Heart Association in CPR basic life support with automated external defibrillator. Chandler is also certified by the State of Texas to monitor the administration of nitrous oxide conscious sedation. Chandler enjoys continuing education courses to further her knowledge of dentistry and to stay up-to-date on new dental protocols and techniques. In her spare time, Chandler enjoys staying physically active either at the gym, outdoors, or through dancing, as well as spending time with her family and her precious puppy, Stella.
Registered Dental Hygienist
Ayah was born and raised in Richardson, Texas, graduated from Richardson High School, and is looking to relocate to a home in Dallas. As a child, Ayah enjoyed going to her dental appointments because she had a dental hygienist that taught her how to brush her teeth correctly and how to maintain her excellent oral health. The dental hygienist made it so much fun to visit the dentist that Ayah decided a career in dental hygiene would be her career choice. Using what Ayah learned as a child has now become her passion in dentistry...and that is building relationships with her patients, based on trust, so that she may educate her patients on every aspect of oral healthcare. Directly following high school, Ayah received her Associate of Science degree from Richland Community College. Ayah then obtained her Associate degree in Dental Hygiene from Concorde Career College where she served as the president of the Student Chapter of the American Dental Hygiene Association (ADHA). One of Ayah's amazing achievements was earning a perfect score on her clinical licensing board exam. Ayah has her license as a Registered Dental Hygienist in the State of Texas and is currently certified by the American Heart Association in CPR basic life support with automated external defibrillator. Ayah pursues continuing education in order to maintain her knowledge, and skill, in all facets of dentistry. In her spare time, Ayah enjoys traveling and spending time with her family and with her friends.
Registered Dental Assistant
Adrienne was born into an army family in Killeen. She grew up in San Antonio, moved to the Dallas area, and attended the University of North Texas. She and her family have made North Texas their home for more than 20 years. Adrienne graduated from the Collin County Dental Assisting Program and thereafter obtained her Texas Registered Dental Assistant license. Adrienne has been trained in four-handed instrument transfer, X-rays, and the use of materials and instruments used in endodontics, restorative, crown and bridge, and surgery. Adrienne is currently certified by the American Heart Association in CPR basic life support with automated external defibrillator. Adrienne is also certified by the State of Texas to monitor the administration of nitrous oxide conscious sedation. Adrienne lives in East Dallas, and in her spare time, enjoys reading, photography, and knitting.
Registered Dental Assistant
Donna was born and raised in Mesquite, Texas and currently resides in Dallas. After graduation from high school, Donna originally wanted to pursue a degree in elementary education, but she quickly realized that a career in general dentistry would allow her to interact with people of all ages. Donna’s passion is building relationships with patients and making them feel comfortable while receiving dental treatment. Donna’s uncanny memory of life details allows her to talk to the patients during treatment so they forget they are even having dental treatment. Donna received her dental assisting certificate from the El Centro Dental Assisting Program and became a Registered Dental Assistant performing four-handed instrument transfer, taking X-rays, and learning the use of materials and instruments used in endodontics, restorative, crown/bridge, and surgery. After she obtained her assisting certificate, Donna joined the practice of Dr. Tom W. Watson where she met Dr. Bill who was an associate dentist at that time. Dr. Bill and Donna worked together for 13 years prior to Dr. Bill opening Whitley Family Dental. After Dr. Tom passed away, Donna joined Whitley Family Dental, bringing with her 30 years of dental assisting experience. Donna is a Registered Dental Assistant in the State of Texas and is currently certified by the American Heart Association in CPR basic life support with automated external defibrillator. In her free time, Donna enjoys crafting and watching football, but her greatest joy is spending time with her husband of 20 years, Donnie, her 4 children, and her 9 grandchildren.
Office Manager Emeritus
LaJoyce was born and raised in the East Texas community of Alba-Golden. When she was 12 years old, she moved to Dallas, attended Dallas schools, and graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School. She has made East Dallas her home for 74 years. LaJoyce was employed by the Dallas Independent School District for 29 years. Her career with DISD began as secretary to the principal at J.L. Long Middle School in East Dallas. Later, she transferred to Bryan Adams High School as the office manager and worked there until she was selected as the office manager for one of the area superintendents. After retirement, she worked part-time auditing activity funds for all the elementary schools in DISD. In 2009, LaJoyce brought her significant office experience to Whitley Family Dental to serve as the office manager managing all aspects of the front office. LaJoyce shares time between her home in East Dallas and her farm in Golden. Her hobbies include spoiling her five grandchildren and one great-grandchild, reading, quilting, gardening, traveling, and enjoying family and friends.
Patient & Accounting Manager
Cindi was born and raised in Dallas, and serves as our patient and accounting manager maintaining our online patient portal, generating paychecks, submitting tax payments, updating our practice management and accounting software, enhancing our social media presence through Facebook, Instagram, and Healthgrades, as well as, supporting our office manager in running the front office. Cindi is a proud graduate of Skyline High School in East Dallas and attended Lone Star College-Montgomery Campus. She has obtained her certifications in accounting and human resources. Cindi has more than 20 years of experience in office and accounting management, most notably at ADP, White Rock/Katy Trail Weekly, and Total Compression Systems. Cindi is currently certified by the American Heart Association in CPR basic life support with automated external defibrillator and serves as our HIPAA Compliance Officer. Cindi lives in East Dallas, and in her spare time, enjoys traveling, playing golf, and spending time with her grandson.
Tamara was born and raised in East Dallas and is the co-owner of Whitley Family Dental. Tamara is a dynamic executive that balances strategic thought leadership with tactical execution to design and implement dental office solutions. Tamara attended DISD public schools and graduated with highest honors from Skyline High School in 1985. After high school, Tamara obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and graduated Cum Laude in 1988 from Texas A&M University. Tamara brings 30 years of proven business and insurance experience to her role of Office Director at Whitley Family Dental from such notable companies as Medco Health Solutions, Cigna, CVS, and ADP. This business experience includes building relationships, disaster recovery protocols, HIPAA compliance, insurance administration, account management, client implementations, talent development, process reengineering, operations support, metrics development, and preventive measure implementation. Tamara is currently certified by the American Heart Association in CPR basic life support with automated external defibrillator. Tamara also holds her Black Belt in Six Sigma Process Improvement methodology and is a lifetime member of the American Association of Dental Office Management (AADOM). Tamara lives in East Dallas with her husband of 31 years, Dr. Bill. Their son, Nick, is in his third year at Texas A&M University pursuing dual degrees in Political Science and Philosophy. The Whitleys attend First Baptist Church in Dallas and enjoy traveling, reading, and cooking.
